Founder

Raised in South Central Los Angeles , Su'Saun began working with youth as an assistant at her mothers child care center, while in high school. She went on to graduate from Cal State Northridge with a Bachelors in Social and Behavioral Science minor in Behavioral Health . Su'Saun began her career with LAUSD as a Behavioral counselor. Continued Master of Education M.Ed. Program.  She then began working as a Mental Health Social Worker in the School Satellite Program at Kedren Community Health Center in south central Los Angeles . Working with youth within the foster care and probationary placement population . She continued her career with the County of Los Angeles Mental Health Department of Corrections and Re-Entry , while coordinating programs within the mental health field.

Su'Saun founded “Starting A New Direction”  S.A.N.D, in 2019, as a means to assist in the fight against homelessness. To eliminate housing insecurity in Los Angeles by providing a spectrum of residential services, from temporary shelter to permanent assisted living. By acting as the parent steward for specialized care facilities, S.A.N.D Transitional Living Inc, non-profit ensures that individuals transitioning from crisis receive the long-term medical support, sobriety oversight, and life-skills coaching necessary for true stability. 

S.A.N.D Transitional Living Inc. operates as a centralized mission-hub designed to scale innovative housing solutions across Los Angeles.
